Modular aerogel brick fabrication via 3D-printed molds

A 3D-printing process is presented for the manufacturing of modular aerogel/acrylate bricks that are fully scalable and customizable potential applications in thermal insulation. The use tools conjunction with a sol-gel method aerogel synthesis circumvents geometric limitations fabrication large size load bearing articles. In this study, two-component manufactured from low conductivity aerogels 3D-printed load-bearing polymer bricks.
